I’m a MULTIPOTENTULITE so I have 1000’s of ideas in my head at all times, 100’s of projects, 100’s of places I want to visit, and probably at least 10 jobs that I would like to give a go all rolling around in my head at all moments. There are entire online communities that are dedicated to this. For more info on this join the Facebook community Puttylike.
This is my “travelling disability” it’s not a physical one, but is a mental one….it can be a bonus at the time. Why is it a negative…once I’ve accomplished something, I can’t just simply be happy with it, while I’m happy to reach the goal, I have to think, whats next. I conquer a challenge to only turn around and think, mmm next challenge please, and the tornado of confusion and pro/con lists begins again. Also makes for many sleepless nights.
Why it’s a positive, I’m a jack of all trades, with an incredible amount of interests, which while travelling can be very handy. Being a multipotentulite means that I can focus on multi projects, ideas and life adventures all at once. In the working world, it’s very handy too, having a board set of interests means having a board set of skills. Dolphin trainer to a retail manager or Travel Agency Manager to Housekeeping, behind the scenes business to building a farm, no matter the challenge, I’ll probably accept it. If you’re like this then you may be a Multipotentulite too…welcome to a whole new world!
WHY THIS BLOG…traveling the world means meeting people from all walks of life…I’m going to interview these people, people who are the standard backpacker, the clampers, the hotel stayers, the tourists, travellers, elderly, disabled, poor, rich, professional nomads, professional ski bums, people who have fallen in love, broken up on trips, never left the place I last saw them or have aspirations to reach amazing places that we can only dream of (for now). As well as interviews, there will be snippets of suggestions, ideas, dreams, places to see as I go along. Should be an interesting read…stay tuned.
